Let’s prepare a savour the taste of mutton kaleji, a popular Indian delicacy known of it’s rich, robust flavours.
The dish made from goat liver. It is treat of nonveg lover, specially for those who love to eat mutton.
Ingredients–
500 gm Kaleji
5 sliced chopped onions
2 Tb spoon garlic
3-4 green chilies
1 spoon turmeric
1 spoon red chilly
1 spoon cumin powder
1 spoon coriander powder
Clove 5
Cardamom- 4
1 spoon black pepper
Salt as per taste
Instructions-
-Preparing the kaleji- Start by thoroughly cleaning the goat kaleji under running water and dry it with the help of large stainer.
-In a wok add 2 tb oil and then add ½ spoon cumin and after that add chopped onions and kaleji. cook low to medium flame 4-5 mintues.
-Sprinkle the salt, turmeric, coriander, chilly powder, cumin powder.
-Make a fine paste of garlic ,green chilly along with clove, cardamom, black pepper and stir for a minute to mix it well.
-This would take 20- 25 mins. Be carefull not to overcook the liver. Overcook can make it tough and dry.
-Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Enjoy with chapati or naan along with lemon wedges and onions.!
