Basically, Palak paneer is a vegetarian dish of spinach and paneer. It has originated from northern Punjab. The dish has evolved from saag. It has introduced of leafy greens and paneer that was staple of rural Punjab. Spinach was introduced to the subcontinent later than other leafy greens. So, let us make delicious and healthy palak Paneer!
Ingredients: –
Paneer- 500 gm
Palak- 1 kg
Chopped onion- 2
Ginger & garlic paste- 1 spoon each
Tomato- 2
Salt- as per taste
Oil- 2 Tb spoon
Cumin- ½ spoon
Kashmiri chilli powder- ½ spoon
Chilli powder- ½ spoon
Coriander powder- 1 spoon
Turmeric powder- 1 spoons
Clove-4
Cardamoms- 3
Fresh cream- 2 Tb spoon
Ghee or butter- 1 spoon
Instructions: –
- First, we cut the paneer in a cube size and set aside.

- We clear the spinach and rinse it well. Then in a large bowl add water to boil then add spinach for 8-10 mins after that rinse the water. Add cold water into the spinach to make normal.
- Grind the spinach set aside and then make a paste of ginger, garlic, cloves, and cardamom also make paste of tomatoes and set aside.

- In a wok, add oil, chopped onion and sauté when it turns golden then add ginger, garlic, cardamom, and cloves paste. Also add all spices and tomato paste and mix well.

- Stir well from low to medium flame for 10-15 mins when oil goose out then add spinach paste into it and mix well for 10-15 mins.


- Add paneer and after 5 mins switched off the flame.

- Now we must make tadka in other small pan of cumin and Kashmiri chilly powder and add into palak paneer. Add fresh cream and enjoy the meal with hot chapatis or naan.
